"The kids love this one!"

Spaceballs: The… is a recurring gag in Spaceballs. It is used to begin the name of any merchandise with the movie's name on it. An example is "Spaceballs: The Flamethrower." Yogurt describes this as "Moichendising (sic), where the real money from the movie is made."

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • None of the merchandise shown in the movie actually exists because George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, would not let Mel Brooks have any of it made, presumably because Spaceballs toys would be too similar to Star Wars toys.
  • Spaceballs: The Coloring Book and Spaceballs: The Lunchbox are actually Transformers products with the Spaceballs logo slapped on.
  • It is not known if Dark Helmet's figurines came in a box labeled, "Spaceballs: The Action Figures", or "Spaceballs: The Dolls".
  • Spaceballs: The Wallet is exclusive to The Goldbergs Season 5 Episode 21, where Rick Moranis reprises his role as Dark Helmet.
